(6 total hours, 3 hours of theory and 3 clinical)

RN IV Techniques and Central Line Management with Blood Withdrawal
1-day classroom. Home study required prior to class. Classroom portion will consist of theory review, written exam, techniques, and demonstration of supplies with the majority of the time spent refining clinical skills. Practice peripheral venipunctures. CVC management including acessing, flushing, dressing change and blood withdrawal from PICC tunneled CVC and Port-a-cath on specialized mannequins. Check off doing 3 peripheral venipunctures on fellow students. Completion certificate awarded to RN's and RN students. Click here to Register.
